hopefully all of you have now realized that God is the single most homocidal being in all of human history. he's ordered or ordained more deaths than any single person could ever hope to. don't try to tell me God is good when he would condemn so many.

I wouldn't say God isn't good because by the same token he's ordered the births of so many people. He maintains balance that is vital to life in the world.

i don't believe in him, either, guys. that's why i said this. but i also can't say he's not there, sumo, and neither can you. if you truly believe that you're just as faithful as any christian. truth is i can't possibly prove either theory conclusively. i just have to hope that he's nice if he's up there.

perhaps. but this current war is, in a very real way about god. as were the crusades, the wars with israel, the war again jews in WWII, the romans killing christians, the communists killing religious types that wouldn't recant, the list continues...
it was one of those things that conspired to steal my faith.
