i'm beige-y. i forgot you really don't have anything to base your pictures judgement on. the other guy is tate, he's one of my frequent climbing partners. alvin may be in the pictures too...he's one of the guys i work with at REI and a second partner in crime.

it's not so scary when you're top roping like i am in the last picture. but that's just because we needed an "action shot" of me climbing. i was doing lead climbing, which is kinda scary. if you look next to me left calf there's a bolt. how lead works is i climb until i get to a point where i can clip the rope into that bolt to catch me if i fall. but then you keep on climbing above it. so if you fall, you fall twice the distance to the last bolt and hope it's a good placement and won't pop out on you. it's a great time, a great workout, and an excuse to go enjoy the outdoors.
and i am glad to hear you love that song as much as i do! isn't the final stanza amazing? it's absolutely true that what he says would be pure hell sure would be for me.
